Review: Dead Over Heels

Who said necrophilia can't be funny? Eunice the mortician has lived a lonely life surrounded primarily by cold bodies, lacking the love life she desires. One day this changes, when a "gifted" corpse is rolled into her lab. While trying to hide her secret from her assistant, Eunice plays out her various fantasies with her new acquaintance. Without dialogue, the film is carried by its animations, which has a very nice style and flair to it. The script is simple but entertaining, with Eunice clearly enjoying her new companion a little more than she should. The music and sound effects add onto the piece and compliment the film well. "Dead Over Heels" is an official selection of the New York City Independent Film Festival and will be shown during the festival's run from October 12-18, 2015.
