Film Review: Taichi Mice: Entrance Exam
Posted By admin on December 4, 2017 5:38pm
Taichi Mice is a beautifully rendered 3D Animation film set in an ancient China scene, where a Kungfu Entrance Exam takes place. The film started off with a funny little scene that immediately grabs the audiences’ attention. The personality and characteristic of the three main characters are clearly demonstrated through their looks and actions; from how they rolled down the abacus to how they would deal with a bleeding situation. Although the other two characters kind of fade out after that, which leaves the main character to be the hero of the team. He seems to be the only one that showed off his Kungfu technique as well.
The story happens in a single room, though it is quite well introduced by using dramatic camera movements. It is also full of details worth noticing. The film is full of laughter that are combined with moments of seriousness, though none of it feels sudden or abrupt as it is paced well. The extra credits scene after the exam wraps up a story with such a fun beginning quite well.
Taichi Mice: Entrance Exam is an Official Selection at the 2016 New York City Independent Film Festival.
