Joey cannot forget about Rachel. Try as he might she haunts him, even in his waking hours. Withdrawing into himself, Joey lashes out at Jonathan, a friend who's only desire is to help. As Joey begins to realize that his loss is affecting the relationships he has with the people around him he decides to take action. Partly driven by some accidental consumption of absinthe, Joey spirals into a dark and silent world, full of his greatest fears and regrets, and must struggle on to return home with some semblance of closure that will allow him to move forward with his life.
