Wren: Alive (Australia | 2015, 5 min)
Directed by: Clare Conway
Through dance, the two main characters, and like a domino effect, the onlookers, begin to come alive and are "taken to another place." Both main characters facing unknown adversities take flight, empowered and inspired by one another, ultimately "letting go". They live it up in a wild, extravagant manner, in a pursuit of pleasure. In a constant state of electric action. One of the most important symbols in this clip revolves around time, in bleeding into the idea of "starting again." This is primarily demonstrated though the difference in time that exists between the initial shot of Jess singing, and changing into an equal state once the two girls brush past her when their train doors open. At this point, Jess then becomes the narrator to the story.
